How to Pull Off the Velvet Blazer

With the new year here comes fresh new pieces to weave into your wardrobe. Introducing my obsession with velvet in today’s post. This velvet blazer is the perfect colour because it can be worn all throughout the year. I’m really excited to wear it in the spring with my mom jeans and a classic tee.

You can check out this previous post here for a beautiful velvet dress that I’m obsessed with too. Perfect for winter parties!

Because I’m on the go so often, I need pieces that can transition my look without having to go home and change. This velvet blazer does just that because it really gives your look a luxe effortless appeal. The blazer also comes in black here, I might snag it too.

For me, I love wearing blazers, jeans and a basic neutral cami to appointments and events, it’s been my go-to for years. It also helps that my Gucci paired pretty perfectly with the blazer’s blush tone.

I can’t stop wearing my black sock booties because they’re another effortless piece. They go so perfect with a multitude of jeans and even plaid pants, see blog post here on those. But really I love that they look good tucked in or out, makes for some pretty versatile outfit making, hey?

To glam up this look, I paired my Pandora bracelet and earrings with a few of my favourite midi rings and my rose-gold necklaces. As you know, I do love dainty pieces but this Pandora bracelet is such a classic. I love how you can change its look by switching the charms you want on it.

If you wanted to dress up this blazer even more, you could also pair it with a dress, something sheath or slip like would look incredibly chic. I’m definitely pairing it with my go-to black jumpsuit because it needs a pop of colour, especially in the winter.
